POSITION SUMMARY

To assist in concept, design and art direct collateral, packaging, advertising and sales materials that creatively and consistently reflect the company’s brand identity

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for assisting with all projects through to completion
  • Work closely with the team to create collateral, promotional and advertising pieces
  • Support the various offices in creating necessary sales material
  • Work with the team to develop packaging and presentation materials for all products and pitches
  • Generate unique portfolios for main brands or sub brands used for internal company graphic needs
  • Assist designers in adding color to interior design documents as needed
  • Enhance outsource electronic renderings and interior design presentation documents
  • Collect and manage imagery pool or bank including copyrights
  • Perform edits on existing projects
  • Assist in planning and art directing photo shoots

  • Judgment – The skill of judgment looks at the ability of the individual to form sound opinions or make decisions by evaluating available information. This competency asks the question “How do you make decisions?”
  • Interpersonal – Interpersonal skills look at the ability of the individual to develop and maintain relationships with others. This competency asks the question “How effectively do you relate with others?”
  • Time Management- Time management skills looks at the ability of the individual to effectively utilize available time for the completion of necessary job tasks. This competency asks the question “How efficient and productive are you in the utilization of available working time?”
  • Communication – Communication  is the ability to convey info, written and oral in a clear and concise manner. Does employee use active listening skills with an interest to understand others.
  • Attitude – Is a cooperative member of the team. Possess a positive, helpful attitude. Does the employee respond to emergency request for assistance?

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree (four year college or technical school)

Experience:  May be fresh out of college but needs to be able to produce a portfolio that demonstrates 0 – 3 years of relevant graphic design experience and extrapolate their strengths.

Computer Skills: Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

Other Requirements: Knowledge of print, packaging, branding, typography, catalog production, retail graphics and also some web design experience
